SYNOPSIS:

Hillsong United began in suburban Sydney, Australia, as a bunch ofteenagers playing music in a local church youth band. Over a decade later theyfind themselves travelling the world playing to crowds numbering in the tens ofthousands representing different nations, different cultures, and differentchallenges.

As United crisscross the globe they are confronted and ultimatelyoverwhelmed by the stories of remarkable individuals facing injustice and theuncomfortable paradox of being united in worship yet divided in circumstance.If their entire focus is directed only to what happens on stage, then maybethey have missed the point altogether.

Filmed over a period of 2 years, The I Heart Revolution: We’re all inthis Together follows the worship band, Hillsong United, as they travel across6 continents 42 nations and 93 cities in a cross-cultural journey of music,animation, interviews and live action documentary as they realise every storyof hope, love, loss and sacrifice ultimately points to the one story.

There's a generation across the earth who are being awakened to reallove and who are starting to walk in it. Rising up with hearts as one; ourvalue nailed to a cross that we would find value in the broken and the hurtingand the lost. Hillsong United seeks to give voice to this generation. Birthedand anchored in the youth movement of Hillsong church, UNITED is about seeing ageneration encounter God in a way that changes us from the inside out; so thattogether we can change our world.

“One of the strengths of our Church is the way the youth are embracedand encouraged to be a part of all that is happening,” says Joel Houston, theCreative Director of Hillsong Church. “It’s what makes United distinctive.We’re not just a band. The very nature of who we are and what we do isinclusive. It’s a discipling model. Everything we (the current band) do is becausesomeone gave us an opportunity.”

Hillsong United have also had an amazing opportunity to take what ishappening ‘at home’ to others. They have worshipped in Churches, stadiums andopen fields in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas, and through powerfulpraise and passionate worship, they have seen literally tens of thousands ofpeople connect with Jesus.

With songwriters as well as worship leaders: Joel Houston, Jad Gillies& JD at the forefront. “We’re just getting started,” says Joel. “There area lot of people who need to know Jesus. If our worship is just great youthmeetings, nice songs, lots of jumping around and a few CDs, then we’re missingit. Our vertical expression must have a horizontal effect. So, we’ll continueto worship, praise and honor God with heart, soul, mind and strength the bestwe know how, but the fruit of that must be a generation who are totallycommitted to reaching the lost and helping those who need help, locally andglobally.”
